67: This Is My Worry

‘Just Give Me A Reason’ by Pink ft. Nate Ruess

Abraham, the son of Mother Mary, The Creator Of All, lives a relatively normal life, complete with a longtime relationship.

She does not see all that Abraham sees. She does not see the state of the world that haunts him. And he doesn’t want her to see it. But he can’t stop himself from talking in his sleep. Words like “had enough”slip out. So his girlfriend hears his vague ramblings and thinks it’s about their relationship being broken.

One day she confronts him with her suspicions. Telling him, how she loved him from the start and how he fixed all the wrong things about her. She tells him, that they’re not broken and can back their relationship back on track. They just have to work on it – and they should, because they are meant to be together.

She just needs to know why he feels this way.

Abraham doesn’t want to tell her, what is actually bothering him. Instead, he pretends to not understand what she is talking about, saying it’s all in her mind and due to her recent nightmares. He tells her, how dear she still is to him.

She doesn’t buy it easily and keeps insisting that it’s in fact happening.

He is not as convincing as his inspiring mother, so they end the discussion on agreeing to work on their relationship.

62: The end (and what’s new in 2017)

‘Need You Now’ by Lady Antebellum

While Dre fell head-first in love with Pink solely based on her helpless, his big declaration does not have the same effect on her.

But Dre and Slim help her lie down. She is at her last hour now – and her mind flashes back to Brad, the husband she left after she found out that he had been keeping big, horrible secrets from her.Memories scatter trough her mind, as it has many times before. She reaches out for him in her mind. She wonders if he still thinks of her, many years later. Now she needs him to be there and help her heal.

Brad, still looking for Pink, after she faked her own death and disappeared, is sitting in a rented room drinking, missing her. He wishes she would come sweeping in like she did when they were together.

Both are in pain. But both also realise that at least it means their relationship actually mattered to them.

NEW IN 2017!

Because the main plot has become, to repeat myself, comic-book-complicated, I’m shifting focus. I’m still in the same universe, but I will find a new main character to develop for the next year (don’t know who yet, depends on the song). I might return to Steven and Pink once in a while, but their story seems pretty final, so probably not (but then again, it wouldn’t be the first time, I killed Pink).

61:When He Finally Heard Her

‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ by Michael Jackson

Pink was ill, weak and near death when she called out for two men on the street, Slim and Dre. After several attempts, Dre finally heard her.

Dre fell for her there and then and told her, how she made him feel.

He saw her in her high heels and her pretty dress. He saw how helpless she was. He no longer felt lonely. He had never felt this in love. She was the one for him and he swore to keep her satisfied.

55:’wherever I go’ by One Republic

(Let me start of by apologizing for the (possibly) weird format. I’m writing this on my phone. I’ll fix it, once I get my computer back)

Brad has decided to go look for Pink, his wife, again, because he can’t move on from her to someone else. Wherever he goes, an image of her, The Young Pink, follows.

Their love isn’t easy and it drives them both mad, but it’s worth it, because of how she makes him feel.

He will work hard to get her back and not like so many others pray for an easy love to fall into their lap.

He’ll tell her all this, when he finds her.

No links this time, because I’m writing on my phone. And it’s more than 25 words. But it’s less detailed than usually. Hope, it still works. For context to this chapter, follow the tags around.

Like, follow, all that, if you like it and want to. Information in the menu.

54: ‘I Need A Doctor’ by Dr. Dre ft. Eminem and Skylar Grey

This song is explicit and a clean version 1) is not on Dr. Dre’s VEVO 2) would have a lot of bleeps. Therefore my text is also explicit. Most won’t find it too bad, but it might be unfit for a child or people who would rather avoid that kind of language.

Here’s the video, so you can see what I mean. My text is cleaner than that: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VA770wpLX-Q

Summary:

Pink is sick and needs help, so she calls out for help by two men walking by.

These men are Dre and Slim. They are musicians. Dre is Slim’s mentor. They are fighting about Dre’s self-doubt in regard to his music and don’t hear Pink.

50: ‘Believe Again’ by Brinck

The doctor refuses to father Pink’s children. Heartbroken, she goes back on medication. They make her melancholic and thinks back to all her previous relationships.

They made it so easy for her to fall in love. She saw a future with them, but they never saw one with her.

She lost herself in every relationship. And when it fell apart, she picked up her broken heart and taped it together, each time a little weaker.

And now she finds herself just wanting to believe in love. Just believe that it could be possible, after failure after failure. She wants to breathe again, to go back to the days, where she innocently believed in love, because she hadn’t actually had any experience with it.

She wonders if it just her, or if everyone eventually loses their hope for love.

She wants to trust and hope again. For without love, what do we become?

46: ‘Turn Me On’ by David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj

Pink’s mind and body are broken. Love kept her sane and healthy – but now that Grey Eyes is no longer her girlfriend, she once again needs medicine, or else she will die.

So she finds the doctor who once gave her medicine since she can’t exactly explain her situation to a new doctor.

But since that wasn’t enough last time, she needs him to give her love too, in the shape of children.

So she begs for him to save her and make her come alive again.  She assures him, that he can make it right. He has her life in the palm of his hands. She wants him to father the children.

42: ‘Moves like Jagger’ by Maroon 5

This chapter explores, how it would have happened, if Brad had handled his secret differently.

If he had just told her his secret and showed the mark it had left on his body, instead of breaking up with her, she would have told him that she would still give him her heart, if he wanted it. And she would she would help him safe his life from the fatal consequence.

He would have to go trough the same series of trials, he actually did by himself years later, but this way Pink would be with him and help him, when he shot at stars, fought to get a key and then rode his way to safety.

Had he done that, her career as a dancer would have grown along with their relationship. And Brad could have seen her grow into a star and told her, how big her ego had gotten.

The relationship would have been strong. She wouldn’t feel the need to control him, because she would know everything and trust him completely.

The challenges would still have left him broken and scarred and feeling all wrong, but one look in Pink’s eyes and everything would be all right. Their relationship could have endured and stayed passionate.

In the end, they would win together, Brad handing the finishing blow.

39: ‘What You’re Made Of’ by Lucie Silvas

Pink and Grey Eyes have been together for years now – and Grey Eyes is no longer happy with it being a secret. She wants more. And she has met a man, who might be able to give her that, even if Pink is the one for her.

Pink doesn’t take that well. She takes it to mean, that Grey Eyes isn’t in love with her.

She knew, this would happen. At some point, they would hit the point of no return and Grey Eyes would no longer be able to live with not being an official part of Pink’s life. They can’t go on like this and it won’t be too difficult to detach their lives because they don’t share anything but emotion.

Grey Eyes disagrees. She insists, she is in love and that this was not inevitable and they can go on – Pink just needs to give her more than the occasional secret date with no actual attachment being made. She wants them to share things, a life, anything.

Pink argues, that it makes no difference, who is right or wrong. She deserves that Grey Eyes commits to keeping the secret, being more careful and not risking Pink getting revealed. This is the only thing, she wants, and if Grey Eyes can’t give her that, she’s not what Pink is looking for.

However much Grey Eyes is willing to give more in the ways of becoming an official couple instead of a secret one, she can’t . And since there’s no way, Grey Eyes will change, they have to break up. Grey Eyes isn’t in love – and that’s alright.

Grey Eyes continues to insist, that she is in love, but it means nothing to Pink. She instead expresses her doubt, that Grey Eyes ever put her heart into anything, because it really can’t be too much to ask for, that Grey Eyes puts as much into this as Pink has!

But Pink doesn’t really blame her for anything. She chose the waters, she’s in. She will either sink into despair or be alright after the breakup, but she chose it herself.

She says following to Grey Eyes for her to consider: ”What’s your definition of the one? What do you really want him to become? No matter what I sacrifice it’s still never enough.”

So they break up. When Grey Eyes leaves, Pink knows in her heart, that she will fall into despair, but hopefully be alright later.

37: ‘ Call me when you’re sober’ by Evanescence

Pink has disappeared. She is gone and Brad is alone. The mental image of her, that he kept with him, while he was imprisoned, grows up in front of him and shouts blame at him: ”Don’t cry to me. If you loved me, you would be here with me. You want me? Come find me. Make up your mind!”

Make up your mind. Stop sitting around drinking and figure out what to do about this! Take the blame instead of blaming it on Them.

This Pink says, what he imagines the real Pink meant with her silence: ”Should I let you fall, lose it all, so maybe you can remember yourself.”

Remember what he did to her and all of Their victims.

”Can’t keep believing! We’re only deceiving ourselves and I’m sick of the lie!”

The lie of their happy life. What can he do to get her back?

Nothing apparently: ”You’re too late.”

She accuses him of not taking the blame, taunts his shameful secret.

”Must be exhausting to lose your own game.” she taunts.

The game he played balancing secret, Them and Pink. Managing the selfhate he has for his shameful secret.

”No wonder, you’re jaded.” she says hatefully. ”You can’t play the victim this time.”

She doesn’t believe his genuine sorrow over his loss of her, when he only calls on her, when he’s drunk: ”You never call me, when you’re sober. You only want it, ’cause it’s over.”

This makes him argue with her, claiming that she was the one, who burned down their paradise. He was out of Them! He was hers alone!

This doesn’t impress her: ”How could I have burned paradise? How could I!? You were never mine!”

He was theirs, chose Them rather than letting her in on his secret.

”Don’t lie to me. Just get your things.”

He has to untangle his life from hers. Declare her dead. He has to let Pink go.
