2018, chapter 46: ‘Better When I’m Dancing’ by Meghan Trainor (nr. 158)

Chainsmoker is falling apart from magically controlling an army. Her co-leader, Little Mix, has had a much easier time and has not noticed how it has affected her friend. So when she finds Chainsmoker falling apart by herself, she tries to pull her back together by cheering her up. And since dancing always makes Little Mix feel better, she suggests that they go dancing like they used to.

They can still run the revolution together and Chainsmoker can stay in control. And while Chainsmoker isn’t the best dancer, Little Mix is sure it’ll make her feel better – be therefore be better in general.

Fergie has led a double-life, but now the secret is out.

Luckily, it only elevates her fame. From being a bit of an outlier, she becomes a celebrity. Everyone wants to be her. And finally, she is happy with herself. She thanks God every day that she can wake up loving herself.

Fame brings admiration, VIP rooms with her friends and free drinks.

She is accepted and happy. She longer needs Will‘s friendship or Evanescence‘s love.

Lyrics

Another year has gone by, Another story over, a new one can begin.

To newcomers: I start out every year with a fresh start. A new story with a new focus. It’s in the same universe and has connections to the previous ones, but it’s easier to understand because the backstory is limited to the bare necessities. Will I reuse the same characters? Will it be completely new? We’ll see.

Merry Christmas, happy new year and any other holiday taking place in the immediate future or recent past.

21: ‘No’ by Meghan Trainor

Natasha’s youth made her unwilling to being hit on. She considered herself untouchable. It has nothing to do with the individual guys – they might be sweet enough, but it’s simply not something she prioritised.

One time a shy guy attempted, encouraged by his friends. She rejected him before he even had a chance to speak.

This guy, however, wasn’t giving up, even as she kept turning down his compliments and attempts to ask her to dance, believing it to be him using deceiving means to achieve his ends.

He refused to give up, so she responded the way, she always did and encouraged her female friends to respond as well: ”My name is No, my sign is No and my number is No. You need to let it go.”
