62: The end (and what’s new in 2017)

‘Need You Now’ by Lady Antebellum

While Dre fell head-first in love with Pink solely based on her helpless, his big declaration does not have the same effect on her.

But Dre and Slim help her lie down. She is at her last hour now – and her mind flashes back to Brad, the husband she left after she found out that he had been keeping big, horrible secrets from her.Memories scatter trough her mind, as it has many times before. She reaches out for him in her mind. She wonders if he still thinks of her, many years later. Now she needs him to be there and help her heal.

Brad, still looking for Pink, after she faked her own death and disappeared, is sitting in a rented room drinking, missing her. He wishes she would come sweeping in like she did when they were together.

Both are in pain. But both also realise that at least it means their relationship actually mattered to them.

This particular plot thread is comic book-complicated.) or read the whole thing in the proper order by clicking on https://songbysongblog.wordpress.com/?order=asc

NEW IN 2017!

Because the main plot has become, to repeat myself, comic-book-complicated, I’m shifting focus. I’m still in the same universe, but I will find a new main character to develop for the next year (don’t know who yet, depends on the song). I might return to Steven and Pink once in a while, but their story seems pretty final, so probably not (but then again, it wouldn’t be the first time, I killed Pink).

61:When He Finally Heard Her

‘The Way You Make Me Feel’ by Michael Jackson

Pink was ill, weak and near death when she called out for two men on the street, Slim and Dre. After several attempts, Dre finally heard her.

Dre fell for her there and then and told her, how she made him feel.

He saw her in her high heels and her pretty dress. He saw how helpless she was. He no longer felt lonely. He had never felt this in love. She was the one for him and he swore to keep her satisfied.

Chapter 60: ‘Space Bound’ by Eminem

Steven and Natasha are stuck in a loveless marriage. Or rather that is how Natasha sees it. This is how Steven sees it:

He loves her so much. But after the break-up with Pink years ago, he had difficulties showing his feelings. He had trouble trusting and believed love to be evil.

That belief changed when he met Natasha in Vegas. When they touched, he felt a rush, they both did. With a clutch they sealed a promise of what could be. At first it’s just torturous lust.

Lust turned to love. He starts out by warning her, that he could become dangerous, if she broke up with him, because he has been hurt before. She either didn’t take it seriously or forgot – possibly both.

He was so sweet at first. He told her in complete honesty that she took his breath away.

He would do anything for her. He loved her endlessly and feels weak around her. She felt the same, but held back at first in an attempt to not scare him away. But as she became more and more expressive of her love, his difficulties with showing emotion caused him to draw back.

This was when Natasha stopped believing he ever loved her. And by then he was too withdrawn to argue against it.

So she cut herself loose.  They were now married in name only.

He can stand this for one year and six months. He finds the strength to finally pour his heart out to her.

But by then she no longer wants him. And she no longer wants to talk. She tries to leave. In an act of desperation, he grabs her and chokes her. He ends up snapping her neck.

Tears steaming down his cheeks, he puts a gun to his temple and tells her once more how he much he loves her.

59: ‘Whole Foods Parking Lot’ by DJ dave

Dre, a famous long time rapper, has a foul language, but no temper.

But when getting back in the rap game, he starts embracing anger a little.

This shows up one time he was going shopping for groceries at Whole Foods at his home area West side of LA.

First when a hybrid wants to steal his parking space going the wrong way. Then when people with clip boards looking at him, like they know him. The shopping cards are too small. Some girl in yoga pants is looking at him funny. The prices are way too high, for instance on Pinot Noir. They are out of Humboldt Fog. A guy on his phone is standing in the way of the Quinoa. The express lane is moving hella slow

This layers on as annoyance for a long time, but he doesn’t say anything. Out loud anyway.

58:’My Proper Tea’ by Doc Brown

Dre is getting back into the rap game. Rage is key to rap, but Dre does not have much. Only one thing can make him near homicidal.

That is when Slim offers to make him a cup of tea – and makes it wrong. He puts in the milk first and lets the tea bag there brewing and the sugar lying at the bottom to disintegrate itself.

So for Dre’s big comeback, he raps about the proper way to make a cup of tea: tea bag in first, pour the water on top (so you know how much milk is required) and stirring the sugar into the tea.

57: ‘Up & Up’ by Coldplay

Steven earns his wealth from owning orange farms.
He worked towards this dream for years working meal to meal.
Natasha supported  and helped him – most of the time. There was in fact a period in which they were broken up – and it actually broke Steven’s heart. They got back together and healed. They lived trough hardship, seeing each sunrise as a gift.

No links, still more than 25 words and still no computer. But even if mine doesn’t come home by next week, next post will be written on a computer.

Like, follow, all that, if you want.

56: ‘Misery Business’ by Paramore

Nicki can’t make the group kick Gaga out, so she still have to see her.

Their animosity grows. When Nicki becomes interested in a guy, Gaga steals him, before she can do anything about. Nicki is her own vindictive self and plans to steal him back, now with added motivation. Yes, Gaga has a body like an hourglass, but the relationship is doomed to fail some day.

Gaga and The Guy date for eight months, before Gaga lets him out of sight long enough for Nicki to charm him by telling him, he was the only for her.

Now she gleefully shows him off and tells Gaga how happy they are and how their wildest dreams are coming true without her.

She has the added satisfaction of knowing, Gaga wishes she had The Guy. More so, because Nicki despises girls like Gaga, who get whatever they want by acting all sweet.

Once again no links (and also more than 25 words).

Like, follow, all that. And here’s to hoping I’ll have my computer back by next week (if nothing else then for the sake of my phone’s survival
